Begin with planning a design - in this case something that will use a bezel and gemstone.

Roger is one of the silver teachers.  Lots of experience but easy going with the instruction.

Sawing the piece of silver to the desired shape.

Preparing the bezel for solder involves checking the fit and using tools to get it just right.

Flux is applied before the solder is added and heated.

Soldering some pieces involve using a torch from under the silver.

This project involved soldering a pattern of silver onto a base of solder.  After forming into a ring, the piece needs to be sanded.

This piece of silver is being sanded to prepare for the application of the bezel.

The soldering is done - just before the torch is turned off.

A ring being polished - the final step.

A finished silver pendant with bezeled set chrysophrase.
